Ideas for smart snacking and ways to plan gluten-free meals.
In order to eat healthy, smart planning is essential! It’s important to plan out your snacks and meals ahead of time, so you don’t get stuck choosing a convenient but unhealthy food. This can be a hard task for anyone, and even more challenging for those eating a gluten-free diet. Planning will ensure that you always have a nutrient dense and gluten-free option at hand.
Snacks to have on hand:
- Nuts, like almonds or pecans.
- Fresh fruit, like an apple or banana. Add some peanut butter to your apple or banana.
- Gluten-free yogurt, (carry a mini cooler!)
- Gluten-free trail mix with nuts, dried fruit, and corn cereal. Make one big batch, and keep small portions in Ziploc bags.
