MARKETING & SALES INITIATIVE
WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF NEW
PRODUCTS, PROMOTIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS
Melville, NY (March 2008) –The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., a leading manufacturer of natural and organic products, introduced a corporate Gluten Free initiative at the March 2007 Natural Products Expo, consolidating marketing and sales efforts across its portfolio of brands that offer great tasting gluten free products. Continuing the company’s long standing commitment to providing all consumers with A Healthy Way of Life™, including those with gluten sensitivities, The Hain Celestial Group proudly introduces thirteen new Gluten Free products, a national Gluten Free promotion and a partnership with the Celiac Sprue Association.
Gluten Free Products
As the national need for gluten free products continues to rise1 2, The Hain Celestial Group strives to be at the forefront of providing consumers with gluten free products that not only meet their special dietary needs, but also offer great taste and nutrition. The company’s new line of Gluten Free Café™ frozen entrées is its first brand solely dedicated to those with gluten intolerance. Rich in taste and nutrition, it is the only line of gluten free frozen foods with all-natural ingredients, vitamins and minerals to improve overall nutrition and a prebiotic, to aid digestion. The Gluten Free Café™ launch includes gourmet vegetarian and chicken entrees.
DeBoles® which has been “Making Only the Best” premium & gourmet pastas since 1932, now offers two new Gluten Free Multi Grain Pastas. Made with a unique blend of naturally gluten free rice and the organic ancient whole grains quinoa and amaranth, these innovative pastas provide 36 grams of whole grains per serving. These pastas have been specially formulated with nutrients commonly lacking in gluten free diets by providing an excellent source of three B vitamins and iron. DeBoles Gluten Free Multi Grain Pastas join the brand’s top selling line of rice and corn gluten free pastas.

The Hain Celestial Group is now offering a wider array of gluten free products that proudly display the company’s gluten free logo, including Imagine Low Sodium Broths, Kidz Dream™, Almond Dream™ and more than twenty WestSoy® Non-Dairy Beverages. Gluten Free Promotion
The Hain Celestial Group will proudly celebrate Celiac Disease Awareness Month, October 2008, with the launch of a new Gluten Free promotion. Utilizing a direct mail campaign targeted to almost 130,000 self-identified Celiac consumers, the company will distribute literature and coupons featuring its vast array of gluten free products across multiple brands. These materials will direct consumers by zip code to key retailers carrying the company’s gluten free products and announce The Hain Celestial Group’s new gluten free dedicated website. This website will feature products with nutrition labels, gluten free recipes, a store locator and other incentives. Our Gluten Free promotion will expand in the Spring / Summer 2009 with a sweepstakes and the potential launch of gluten free e-mail blasts.
Celiac Sprue Association Partnership
The Hain Celestial Group is now a sponsor of the Celiac Sprue Association, the largest national organization dedicated to education and services for those with gluten intolerance. Through this partnership, The Hain Celestial Group proudly displays the CSA logo on its website pages dedicated to gluten free products and other gluten free materials. CSA provides its members with information on The Hain Celestial Group’s products including listings within the organization’s Gluten Free Product Directory, plus Hain Celestial sponsored recipes within the “In the Kitchen” section of the its website www.csaceliacs.org.
